Along with the new iPods released today at Apple’s “Let’s Rock and Roll” event, Apple has released iTunes 9 with a good stack of new features. New in the store are LP albums, or “Deluxe Albums” that contain a heap of extra goodies such as additional recordings, art and videos for an extra cost. Also included are Genius Mixes which seeks out endless songs related to what you have in your library.
For easier management of your iPhone and iPod Touch, Apple has decided to add in app management which will allow you to set up each app screen from within iTunes rather than using the difficult phone-based method. You can also now share what your listening to on Facebook and Twitter, and share songs between your computers via Home Sharing.
If you’re an iTunes user you can grab iTunes 9 now from the Apple website – the download is still as large as ever
